Peak Climbing in Nepal
Peak climbing in Nepal is the most admired ‘dream come true adventure’ among touring mountaineers from all over the World with highest peaks of the earth. Due to overwhelming pleasure, excitement and adventure some of these world famous mediocre height peaks are called “Trekking Peaks”. These are also suitable for beginner trekkers who have the aspiration to attempt small-scale mountains ranging between 5,555 to 6,654-meter peaks. The participants just need to be physically fit with commitment and motivation for adventure and do not need any previous mountaineering skill to take this trip. When you think about these small peaks of Nepal, please consider that all of them are higher than any mountain in North America.
Peak Climbing in Nepal requires permit from Nepal Mountaineering Association which can be obtained through Trekking Mart. For participants it is must to employ a skilled climbing guide (Sardar) with valid climbing license from NMA. Island Peak
Island Peak at 6169 meter height is also known as Imja Tse and is one of the popular trekking peaks of Nepal for climbing on Himalayas. From Dingboche the view of this peak gives an impression of an island in a sea of ice. Imja Tse does not only provide an enjoyable climb but also present some of the most spectacular scenery of Himalayas in Khumbu region. Seen from the summit the giant mountains/ Everest , Nuptse (7,879m), Lhotse (8,516m), Lhotse Middle Peak (8,410m)
Lobuche East Peak
Attempt to climb Lobuche East (6119m) start fly from Kathmandu to Lukla airport at Everest region. From Lukla we follow the main trail Namche. From Namche, we leave the main trail to Everest Base camp to trek through the village of Khumjung to the Gokyo Valley. The Gokyo valley offers a good view of the towering massifs of Cho Oyo (8153m) and Gyachung Kang (7922m) appears. We cross the CHO LA pass. You will have a day climbing clinic course at Lobuche base camp.
Mera Peak
Mera peak is considered as one of the major and popular trekking peaks in Nepal. The Peak itself rises to the south of Everest with the ascent, technically straightforward; however, the heavy snow and the maze of crevasses make the way a bit longer to the summit. Beside the charm of climbing Mera Peak there is a unique reward of experiencing rarely visited and un-spoilt region of densely forested hill side on the trek to its base camp from Lukla.
Pisang Peak
Pisang Peak rises above from Pisang village and yak pastures in a uniform slope of ice and snow to the final summit pyramid. Pisang peak is considered one of the easy climbing peaks among the trekking peaks in Nepal. To reach the base camp from Pisang village, the path ascends through sparse wood and pasture to a Kharka at 4,380 meters (14,366ft) which is considered the best place for setting up the base camp.
Yala Peak
Yala Peak at the altitude of 5732 meters is part of the Langtang Himal region, located in the central part of Nepal. The base camp of Yala Peak is Kyangjin Gompa (3749m/12300 ft). Yala Peak is a fantastic beginner’s mountaineering trip not requiring mountaineering experience. Just to the north of Kathmandu in the Langtang region, this 5500 meters peak is situated in a beautiful valley of rich grazing pastures and Tamang people.
